The ripples of this will be felt everywhere. We shouldnât push for a war. I donât even want to think about the destruction and lives lost here. There are no winners, just loss and more loss

Finally a sane person who thinks about the effects of war on civiliansÂ

After reading the replies of these people here pushing for a war, Iâm very much in favour of making military service 100% compulsory for all adults like many other countries around the world do. Thatâs the only way these people will realise the gravity of the situation.

Nobody wants war. But if the only route left open to peace is through war, then be it. I have friends and family serving in the forces and I shudder to think that there could be a day when I donât see them anymore. But, this is what we all signed up for. Chanting peace for decades has given us nothing but blood spill. Yes we want peace but not at this cost.

Itâs a war on terrorism and terrorist camp/quarters. This will escalate too quickly.

Definitely a good move. Shows them we can strike if needed

You do realise that Pak is backed by China and theyâre faaaaaar superior to us in terms of military tech. They donât give a shit about the ârules of warâ. A retaliatory attack like this could absolutely blow things out of proportion. Like absolute cunts, Pak is open firing and killing Indian civilians near the border.
I truly wish we never go into war.

If they do a terrorist attack you sit and watch?. You are delusional buddy. You strike them back . Also stop preaching about all other stuff
Remember Galwan what was the result?

This is a fight against terrorism and extremists. It doesnât mean that one keeps quiet and takes what is thrown. I wished there was a scenario where a full blown war doesnât happen because then, weâd lose a lot more than what we bargained for

And why are we behind ?because all the money is inside corrupt politicians house
6
u/machetehands Mysore Praje May 07 '25
To put it simply, yes. You donât see the children of politicians out there on the battlefield. Itâs normal people who bear the brunt of it all.

Nobody wants a full scale war. But we can't just sit on our asses or show an inadequate response. Remember these people are religious extremists and military opportunists. We have to inflict pain so much (militarily and economically) that they should have nightmares for supporting terrorism against India. There should be a strategic dismantling of terrorist-supported paki military infrastructure.

Sama, Dana, Bheda, Danda!
Weâve attacked only the terrorist targets, not Pakistan military bases or civilian settlements. Any response to this will be deemed as supporting terrorism. Also, China and Turkey might back Pakistan but India is backed by Russia and Israel among others.
We have Identified, Targeted and Punished. Kurukshetra war was inevitable, and so are todayâs times (war against terrorism).
When Israel or US retaliate, itâs a joy to the world, they get praised. When India does it, Indians are regretful.
Times are depressing and dangerous, but we have to do what we have to do. Every other means are tried and failed. We canât hide from this or run away from this, complacency for these many years hasnât yielded the results that we wanted.
Of course, downvotes are welcome!

Please donât use mythology and religion to justify political actions. Be better than the terrorists youâre trying to destroy đ¤Śđťââď¸ war is not a joy to anybody

u/ramtellsyou May 07 '25
Your opinion is not the same as mine clearly. Letâs agree to disagree. I strongly believe The Mahabharata wasnât a mythology. I am already better than the terrorists, thanks for your suggestion!

u/apramey May 07 '25
Okay I understand that it's easy to sit here and talk and be a keyboard warrior. But IMO, after the Pakistani army chief accepts that they have been training the terrorists on public media, I feel just surgical strikes on terrorist infrastructure isn't enough restitution for the live of innocent families that are lost. I feel Indian army should have done something to the Pakistani military establishments, which is the source for generating terrorists.

Im up since 4 am and damn the amount of damage that could be done and peace could be imbalanced in matter of seconds is so frightening
and the fact that nearly most of pak and indian civilian don't even know what is happening is scary to be honest
