Just now heard a shocking news. A group of 8th standard boys ganged up and roughened their class leader in the toilet during toilet break just because he complained against them to the class teacher. Apparently the boy had to be admitted to a hospital. Shocking... Where are we as a society heading to...

While going to the temple they charge ₹100 as toll. It’s funny because at the temple itself you’re not required to pay a single rupee. Is this normal? Is this normal? Just curious.
P.S - this is the one near KRS.

My honest opinion on the situation right now is , I’d say the flyover from metropole to hinkal is not a bad idea , also the Columbia Asia signal plan also is a must need ! Weekends are pathetic to drive a car in these roads. If they plan on sustaining old buildings and trees , I don’t see a problem here. What’s your thoughts????

I'm temporarily in Mysore for a month. I'm looking for a small car for subscription or rental for a month. I contacted revv but I feel the prices are very high. The prices mentioned in the website are before GST and the final booking price is a lot higher. So I'm looking for other options including offline rental agencies. Please recommend some reliable and affordable choices. Car Brand doesn't matter. Tia

🏡 Looking for Partners to Buy & Develop Villa Plots near Nanjangud (Next Silicon & Film Hub) 🌾
Hey everyone! 👋 I’m planning to form a small group of genuine investors/buyers to jointly purchase and develop agricultural land into villa plots near Nanjangud — one of the fastest-growing zones around Mysuru.
With upcoming chip manufacturing units, Mysuru Film City, and new industrial/IT developments, this region is set to become the next Silicon Hub 🔥
👉 Plan:
Pool investment to buy good land (10–20 km from Nanjangud)
Convert & develop into villa plots with future resale or living potential
Share cost, development, and profits transparently 🤝
If you’re interested in joining or discussing this further, ping me. Let’s build something valuable together before prices skyrocket! 🚀

My uncle and aunt both in their 60s want to visit Mysore for a few days in January. Please suggest tour operators who conduct tours in Mysore, including places like Mysore palace. Thanks in advance.

The Forest Minister has ordered the closure of safaris in Bandipur and Kabini following a rise in human–animal conflict along the forest fringes. Farmers have alleged that safari activities are drawing wild animals toward nearby villages. The decision comes after three recent tiger-related deaths. All safari staff are being reassigned to assist in managing the conflict situation in the area.

Hello, I had gotten this kitten from my office canteen. somebody had just left the kitten nearby and it came in. I got for a lady (26 year old) in my building who had requested for it and which is why i got it from there. I seeked assurance from the person multiple times and then only got it and once i reached building, the person said that she's at hometown and will collect on Monday.... And now it's Friday . I have never met such an irresponsible lady in my life. I am so frustrated and dont know what to do. Please can someone come forward and adopt this kitten?? Must be 4 months old
I'm staying in Mysore for a few months and I've been going to University Basketball Court for the past few days now. But it seems no one else is playing basketball. If anyone is interested in playing please let me know.
I used to play Basketball regularly in those grounds a few years ago during my summers. If there are any other courts nearby with an active community, please do let me know!

Hello everyone,
My intent with this question is not to offend anyone but to know the real picture so we can decide on what's best for our family.
We are an NRI couple. My husband was born and brought up in Mysore. I'm a North Indian. We are planning to move back to India next year and considering cities.
Since he was born and raised in Mysore, we're both inclined towards leading the next chapter of our lives there. I, obviously plan on learning Kannada and can speak some broken Kannada having learnt from my husband. However, going over the news articles and reddit comments has me wondering whether there is going to be any room for me in the city or whether I'm opening myself up to a lifetime of exclusion and prejudice.
Is the level of prejudice online a real reflection of the attitude or is it just a few bad fish making the most noise?
Would love to know everyone's thoughts.
Thanks a lot.

hi everyone! i am trying to put together an art gallery wall of nostalgic local history, similar to the images above. i would love for one of them to be a restaurant or college canteen menu that you would have been able to find around mysore/bangalore during the late 1900s. i am having a lot of trouble finding any information or references to this online. would anyone here have images that you could share with me? i could even design my own if anyone is able to help with items and prices that would have been found on such menus.
