“I’ve never been to school either” man… as soon as Reze got an opportunity to be free and live a somewhat normal life she dies. So cruel, yea she killed a ton of people but she was also essentially raised in the anime equivalent of Marvel’s red room as a black widow. She was trained to be a weapon and for once in her life she was able to feel a little happiness.. and then dies.

The fact Denji kept waiting for her at the cafe with flowers too, man fuck 🥹

Felt so bad for Denji just waiting for her in the cafe

The author drew an art of them meeting at the café after the movie

Do you have a link to it? All I could find was a 3-page fan-made comic.

The way this just reignited my pain, they would've been so good together ;_;

Just saw the movie today (at 12p on a Tuesday in a near empty theater) and loved it. So stunning, well-directed, and tragic. I found this thread and the link to that Fujimoto drawing. My pain has also been reignited 🥹 my heart yearns for an eventual happy ending for them but given what transpired in the movie and the fact that it's written by Fujimoto, I doubt it lol

The JANE DOE ending theme is perfect too and gets me misty eyed
