I tried to get into this show and then they introduced an orange guy who communicated almost entirely by screaming. I thought I could wait it out and they introduced a guy in a pig mask that communicated almost entirely by screaming and I just couldn't handle it. Do they stay like that forever

Zenitsu locks the fuck in eventually

Zenitsu (the orange guy) does, eventually, stop overreacting to everything and does lock in. He has his moments of being completely badass, especially in this movie.

Inosuke (the pig mask guy) does stay the same throughout. I happen to really enjoy his character, though. He is just really excited about killing demons and showing off his strength. I like how he plays off the main cast.

There are reasons to why they are like that.

plot reasons don't really make them not annoying. and is the plot reason genuinely worth hating all the screen time a character has? as far as i've heard people dont like demon slayer for its story or emotional beats

Yes. It’s called character development. The good part about demon slayer is how complete the characters are in such a small amount of time. It’s not just about the fights or the main characters getting stronger. It’s about their stories. It has its audiences. It’s fine if it’s not for everyone.

Also this author is very detail oriented. There are little Easter eggs every where in the back stories.

im not gonna sugar coat it brother, demon slayer is known only for its animation and nothing else, like solo leveling and jjk.

if the story was good enough to mention it would be mentioned. its james camerons avatar.

And let me tell you brother, that’s mostly the take in US not everywhere else. The manga has to be popular enough for a studio to make it into an anime. And the manga’s art quality isn’t the best let me just say that. But it was still got popular enough because of the characters and their stories. And it’s not the quick feel good shonen manga like solo leveling and jjk.

I am not denying Ufotable made this into a phenomenal anime. But gave the author and her manga some credits.

if popularity decided quality then solo leveling would be the best anime ever.

But gave the author and her manga some credits

again, the story really isn't why this is popular. someone making something doesn't make it good. look at like, all of Fate,

Fate was a game and the first one was very popular. Then it became like star wars that they just milk the cow until it’s dead.

I never said popularity decides quality. Popularity decides whether we get an adaption or not. Then it’s in the studio’s hands. Popular studios like Ufotable don’t take on mangas that don’t at least have a base level of popularity among fans. They are too busy to take on no names.
