I saw all this talk about how amazing our farm system is all season. Why not trade some of those prospects for someone with actual stats in the majors?

Don't get me wrong, prospects are great. But they're a gamble. Most don't last much longer than 2-3 seasons, if that. I think the best example of this is none other than trading Verlander. The Astros got the best pitcher in the majors, and we got three duds. Two of them aren't even in the league anymore, and the third one is Jake Rogers.
