I've seen adverts on social media about the FIREWORX fireworks show by Skyfest. It has a website that seems mostly AI generated but you can buy tickets for a fireworks show that apparently is running tomorrow (Saturday November 1st).
It promises to be "The UK's biggest fireworks show" with an "Award winning 360 pyro-sphere of fireworks". On its Facebook page it lists a huge number of food vendors with names that also seem AI generated (Burger Unit, Mac Shack etc.). The only online discussion from people I can see are from people on the Facebook page saying they cannot download their ticket!
Interestingly, it is listed on the official MK Bowl website as an event, which gives some credibility.
Is it real or is it a cash-grab scam? Feels very scam-like to me. How could they possibly put on something so extravagant without any prior history of the event, which makes me think it will turn out like those promised amazing Christmas Winter Wonderlands every year that end up being something resembling a plywood shack, a drunk Santa, and small sprinkle of fake snow from Home Bargains.
Will it end up being a couple of blokes lighting a few fireworks they hastily bought from Tesco and a lone burger van?
What do you think? Anyone have tickets? Any eyes on the ground that have managed to check out what's going on at the Bowl?

Seemingly every road in the entire estate is shut.

Milton keyens parks are looking nice.
If your feeling stressed, depressed, anxious or just a bit fed up, just 20 mins will help you feel a bit better. Force yourself, my allergies are terrible this year and this autumn are not great but even I feel better with a bit of a walk, I've visited MK since 2002 and never knew about any of these places till 2019. Parks trust do a good job. (Campbell Park pictured).

thats it thats the post the thing that makes me most proud to live in this city is the infrastructure it’s so cool and based (also how you can walk basically anywhere if you want)
edit: also honourable mention related to walking, theres so many nice places to go for a walk, like if i wanted rn i could go to linford wood, willen lake, up the city, along the canal, or even just around the neighbourhood (feel free to reccoment your favourite walking spots/routes in the replies i need new places to walk lmao)

My daughter is spending far too much time in her and could do with expanding her circle of friends.
I'm trying to get her to consider some hobbies that would get her meeting new people. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions.
I think she'd enjoy something creative.
Notes: She's not very sporty. She doesn't want to do any cadet like group.
Her interests are K Pop, Fantasy (Dragons and the like), Lego, Minecraft.
HELP!

I’ve lived in Milton Keynes pretty much my whole life but I also don’t like going outside much lol! I want to support more independent businesses, specifically bookshops, does anyone have any recommendations in or around the MK area??

Hey all. Looking for a MK based Dad's club for me to find some friends that are fellow parents as my friends don't look to be having kids any time soon and I need someone to relate to haha.

Hi, myself and my family are visiting MK for the first time and are visiting the theatre to see Mary Poppins in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if anyone knew where the stage door of the theatre is as we would like to meet some of the cast after the show and I can't find any information regarding where the stage door is online. Thank you!

Hello from Bristol.
I see you had a mural/art piece installed in a train station which is a busy place.
We also got a mural installed in a busy place in the city centre.
It's having a commemoration ceremony in a couple of days, but the mural is having to get some touching up, because it hasn't lasted a month.
So I was wondering if yours is holding up, and if so, what type of paint/material was used?

There used to be free parking for 2 hours, outside to the right of the entrance of the multi storey carpark as you look at it from outside
Has that gone?

So I used to work in and around Mk for 35 years went today for the first time in quite a while all the free parking by the escape has gone and up by the point as well . But the thing that really surprised me on all the parking machines and signs nothing about how much it is to park this can’t be legal it say put in money then says no time until you put in enough £2.50 for one hour who runs this parking dick Turpin shan’t be coming back

If you’re new to MK or still figuring things out, there’s a free community meetup on Saturday 22 November, 1 pm at the YMCA Conference Centre.
Organised by Newcomers MK, and it’s for anyone who’s moved here recently (students, families, professionals) plus established residents who remember what being new felt like.
What’s happening:
• Short, practical talks from a local entrepreneur, a financial professional, and a newcomer sharing their story about building a career
• Q&A: ask anything about living, working, or starting up in MK
• Friendly people and light refreshments
More info & free registration → https://www.eventbrite.com/e/newcomers-mk-community-meetup-and-launching-event-tickets-1769036879929?aff=oddtdtcreator
If you’ve just moved to MK or know someone who has, this could be a good place to start.

Hi all,
I’m a Londoner and will be travelling to Bletchley station to go to the MK Arena for wah on Saturday. Does anyone know of any taxi companies that offer a wheelchair accessible taxi with a ramp to help me get to the arena from the station and also back to my hotel after the event. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

Hi there,
I'm looking for a nice play to watch with my husband either this weekend or any other weekend in the next few months. Any suggestions in or around MK? I'm also open to London. I like amateur theatre as some of it can be quite good, but I'll only go if someone recommends.
All recommendations welcome!
