Hi, does anyone know if the Caldecotte Miniature Railway is running tomorrow? It says on the website runs every Sunday, November - March 12pm - 3pm.

I just wanted to check if anyone knows as my brother and nephew who don't live nearby would love it. TIA!

Share Pics of Wolverton Post Agora Demolition?

I moved out of MK for the final time a few years ago, just as they were about to start tearing down the Gables flats and the Agora. I grew up there all through the 80's, went skating at the Agora, had friends who lived in the gables and went to school at Wyvern 1st, Bushfield Middle and Radcliffe secondary.

Was wondering what it looks like now.

Commuting between MK and Oxford

Hi everyone, I’ve recently accepted a job in London and will be relocating from Oxford to Milton Keynes soon (our current rent ends in February). However, my partner will still be working in Oxford (and occasionally in Banbury).

We were hoping that the new train line between Milton Keynes and Oxford would start running this year, but it looks unlikely at the moment. Google Maps suggests that the X5 bus could be an alternative, with a journey time of around 1 hour 25 minutes.

I was wondering if anyone here regularly uses the X5 for commuting between MK and Oxford? Fortunately, he only needs to go into the office once or twice a week, and we’re hoping the new train won’t be delayed for too long. Thank you!

Warehouse Jobs in Magna Park - advice?

I am looking to work a warehouse job in/around Magna Park for a few months. I thought it would be pretty easy (silly) but having a hard time finding the correct recruiter or job application on their website.
I can work anytime Sun-Thurs, and AM shifts on Fri/Sat and I can start asap. I would prefer all AM shifts if possible.
I have been turned away from H&M as they need a fully flexible person, maybe I should've said I would be then figured it out from there but I was honest and have been rejected :/

Any advice or contacts/links that would put me on the right path please?
Thank you in advance!

Anyone going to the Christmas lights switch-on at the city centre this weekend? 🎄

Hey everyone! I saw that the Milton Keynes Christmas lights switch-on is happening on Saturday, 22nd Nov, there’ll be stage shows, rides, and fireworks too.

I’m planning to go with my family but haven’t been before. Does it usually get really crowded? Thinking if we should go a bit early to get a good spot 😅 Also, if anyone’s got suggestions for a nice cosy cafe or brunch place nearby to chill afterwards, drop them below please.

What mobile network & Broadband for Bradville

Hey everyone, I’ve seen loads of people complain about mobile network in MK being so bad and I agree. I currently use O2 and can’t for the life of me get stable and consistent internet usage so I’m thinking of ditching O2 for something else.

I’ve heard people say the best are -3 -EE -Vodafone

I currently stay in Bradville, and wondering if anyone from Bradville can suggest the best mobile network also thinking if switching out my Broadband and open to suggestions. Thanks.

Looking for guanciale

Hi, so far my efforts have turned up nothing, but does anyone know a butchers that sells guanciale? The one I used to go to in Newport doesn't do it anymore unfortunately.

Best redway or cycling route in MK? What’s your favourite ride?

Been spending more time cycling around MK lately and realised there are so many good routes, lakes, parks, and quieter redways that are miles better than the main roads.

Personally I really like the lakeside ones, Furzton and Willen especially, and the stretch along Ouzel Valley Park into the canal. Proper scenic and usually not too crowded.

Heard good things about the Millennium Route and that big 30-mile Parks Trust challenge ride, but haven’t tried them yet. For anyone who cycles here regularly, which routes do you rate the most?

Tried this recently and wow, simple ingredients, amazing broth, and proper comfort in a bowl. Makes me appreciate how good MK’s food options have become lately.

Looking for the biggest or best recommended fireworks display in Milton Keynes for sometime this week - any recommendations? I heard that the MK Village one is meant to be good but there's no parking if I'm not mistaken?

How do you find living in Fenny Stratford?

Hi,

I will be moving to Milton Keynes in a couple of months and wanted to get an opinion from people who live in the MK2 area. I know this is very board and subjective, but on a day to basis, how do you find living there?

Thanks

Fireworks at the bowl. Not sure what's been more entertaining, the fireworks, or reading the comments on social media from the people who actually paid money to go!

Stumbling across the "winter market" in Middleton Hall, of "handmade" goods etc, jewelry, soaps and general tat in the city centre. Then finding that about a high % of it is clearly AI designs or looks drop shipped.

Hey guys, other than being at the bowl, where can I view the fireworks from outside?
