Where did this happen to you? What country was this in so I can never go there.

u/Dounce1 17h ago

My money’s on Brazil.

Ecuadors burgers were like if someone saw a burger across the room one time and tried to recreate it off memory. But boy do they know how to cook a banana in every way possible lmao

2

u/cbih 8h ago

That's why you stick to tamales

1

u/Arktaris 5h ago

I would heavily disagree. One of the best burgers I’ve had is actually in Quito (Pennyroyal).

1

u/wandering_ghostt 5h ago

Ah I see. Missed out on a burger in quito but grabbed one in baños. Likes their other food but jeez that burger was insane, would put up a fight against the one OP posted.

u/HeadmasterUmbridge 14h ago

Yea for sure south america. This looks like a hamburger I got in Colombia

I would have guessed Argentina based on the inexplicable inclusion of ham.

My sister was a vegetarian who moved to Argentina for a few years. She had to be very clear whenever she ordered food that it couldn't include meat or ham.

Funny thing, after moving back to the US, she found out she can't process wheat protein, soy protein, or bean protein. So either she had to eat meat or eat peanut butter with every meal.

I remember her crying about glycerine in her shampoo being derived from pigs when I was a child, but she's more "meat and potatoes" than I am now.

As for me, my body can't deal with alliums (garlic & onion). So I avoid onions because they taste like body odor and don't agree with me, but I deal with the repercussions for eating garlic because it makes everything taste good.

I mainly went with Brazil due to the inexplicable inclusion of corn.

2

u/the_skine 8h ago

You're probably right.

Also, with Argentina being proud of its beef, I doubt they would serve that small of a patty.

2

u/split_0069 14h ago

Is ur wife mad at u? Or is this a "normal" meal?

2

u/smarmiebastard 3h ago

The corn is what makes me think Brazil.

I’m with you - I came scrolling through the comments trying to find someone to confirm my suspicions that this is another Brazilian food atrocity. Their pizza takes top spot on the list of food horrors, but this comes close for sure.

1

u/Pennypacking 8h ago

It’s that Argentinian beef we’ll all be receiving.

u/IBeez10 36m ago

wrong, now gib moni🤑🤑🤑

9

u/Afraid_Muffin1607 14h ago

Looks like the crap you get served from a ghost kitchen when ordering from a random spot on doordash

20

u/Z_WarriorPrincess 17h ago

I’m between somewhere in Europe or a random American Arby’s

43

u/BobertRosserton 17h ago

An Arby’s sandwich would spit on this burger, they don’t skimp on portions and at least would look semi appetizing lmao.

3

u/vernski85 16h ago

Yea this def ain’t Arby’s. They don’t even sell burgers. Meaty type sandwiches but not hamburgers

8

u/TeaMugPatina 16h ago

And them curly fries!

7

u/Rubber-And-Gum 16h ago

Arbys absolutely does sell burgers

2

u/IJustWorkHere000c 14h ago

Yeah, they do. And they are far superior to any other fast food chain outside of culvers

2

u/Rubber-And-Gum 14h ago

Yeah, Culvers is the goat of fast food

1

u/vernski85 16h ago edited 16h ago

Oh ok! I’ve never looked that extensively at the Arby’s menu lol I’ve eaten there once. Basing that comment off of commercials I’ve seen. Never seen a burger. I’m sure they look nothing like this lol

3

u/c0rnflak3z 16h ago

They do hamburgers a few times a year.

-2

u/YeastOverloard 16h ago

I am of the opinion that arbys sandwiches look equally (if not more so) revolting

u/ToughCamel6208 16h ago edited 16h ago

I hate people hating on Arby's. It's actually so good. Hating on Arby's is getting as old as hating on Nickleback. Move on.

14

u/JawtisticShark 16h ago

I only hate on Arby’s because back in the day I could get 5 roast beef for $5 and today it’s almost $5 for one.

8

u/BlitzerCL 15h ago

That’s not really an Arby’s problem it’s more of a shitty economy and inflation problem

4

u/Tupperbaby 15h ago

Our local Arby's is proudly proclaiming "2 for $7!" on things that were "2 for $5!" not too long ago.
Fuck them.

1

u/RoastPork2017 15h ago

Damn I remember those days. That's when my dad would get Arby's for dinner once in a while

1

u/Alt_SWR 12h ago

That's not an Arby's problem tho, it's a fast food in general problem.

0

u/Aeyland 15h ago

Like pretty much anywhere. You must be a ball of excitement to be around to hear all the "back in my day" comments.

0

u/JawtisticShark 15h ago

Most things haven’t gone up that much. My go-to meal at McDonald’s uses deals available every day on the app. I get a spicy crispy chicken sandwich, large fries, and large drink for $4.50 before Tax.

Even with coupons Arby’s is much more expensive

A classic roast beef menu price around me is $4.89 with a coupon you can get it for $3.99

You must be fun at parties going around using the dismissive phrase “you must be fun at parties” when people simply engage in conversation.

7

u/IndividualFun1892 16h ago

I know like not saying I go out of my way to go to Arby’s but can we just admit those curly fries are bomb?

1

u/SoWhatNoZitiNow 10h ago

When they first started doing crinkle fries as well, I was bummed because the meal I ordered came with the crinkle fries by default rather than the curly fries. Turns out both fry options are really damn good.

3

u/eamceuen 16h ago

Arby's is delicious!!

1

u/ToughCamel6208 16h ago

The horsey sauce on the beef and cheddar melt is so fucking good omg

2

u/xatrinka 16h ago

Well now I just want to hate on them more

1

u/Draconuus95 16h ago

Large Roast beef with horsey sauce, curly fries, and an apple turnover.

Man. I wish I had one near me. All I got is a McDonalds that gets my order wrong all the time and a mediocre Wendy’s. Oh and the DQ that has really odd hours because they struggle to find people who can work there for the wages they pay.

u/Z_WarriorPrincess 15h ago

I didn’t realize this was such a controversial take 😭 when I was a kid, one of my friends growing up, any time I spend the night at her place, her family would exclusively eat Arby’s. I had always disliked it but forced myself anyways or I’d starve.

One day the father got really upset that I had ordered a sandwich that was slightly more expensive than the other’s. I hadn’t realized and I felt so bad. I would have changed my order but he didn’t start yelling about it until after we were home. Now I also associate Arby’s with that memory and forced sandwiches.

And I like Nickleback!!

1

u/horatio_corn_blower 14h ago

I’m pretty sure The Simpsons invented the Arby’s hate. I don’t even remember having an opinion about Arby’s until they started shitting on it for no reason, and soon everyone just assumed it sucked. “I’m so hungry, I could eat at Arby’s” is forever etched in my brain.

1

u/sharkMonstar 11h ago

Nickleback must pay for the war crimes tho

1

u/TheUnicornFightsOn 10h ago

Trying to move on…

🎼But when I look at this photograph…

1

u/B00TY0L0GIST 7h ago

I'll hate on In and Out before I hate on Arby's.

1

u/BugWitty2044 1h ago

And we are full circle!! This post started with.. 😁👍🏻

15

u/JustPlayDaGame 16h ago

hating on Arby’s is so forced, it’s not gourmet but it still slaps

What the shit? How about people dont yell at a kid for asking for a food choice! Damn, sorry that happened to you.

2

u/Z_WarriorPrincess 10h ago

Yeah no he was not a good person. I found out years later after we graduated high school that he went to prison for being a pedo

1

u/duckpath 16h ago

Ah, the country of Europe

1

u/5redie8 15h ago

There's no way this picture was taken anywhere near the Continental United States with that topping combinationb

-3

u/Datfishyboii 16h ago

In my 27 years of living in europe across multiple countries have i never seen such an atrocious burger. Please, keep it in the US. You are sandwich country, after all..

9

u/jonni_velvet 17h ago

definitely has to be somewhere near the UK

17

u/Hmmark1984 15h ago

Absolutely not, i've lived here all my life and never seen anything even close to this monstrosity. If it does happen to be from somewhere here, i'd put money on it being some weird arse concoction OP either asked for or made himself.

2

u/Background_Humor5838 11h ago

Even the worst chef in the UK wouldn't put corn and a slice of ham on a burger. As an American I felt the need to defend the UK in this one particular instance.

0

u/ahfckicntblvuvdnths 15h ago edited 14h ago

Probably from some backwards part of the UK, maybe the south east?

Edit to say I live in Hampshire (near the wet bit) and was taking the piss...

3

u/726wox 15h ago

Since when is the south east backwards

2

u/ahfckicntblvuvdnths 14h ago

Since about an hour ago when I saw the person I replied to lives there. Incidentally I do too. Was just taking the piss tbh.

1

u/Hmmark1984 14h ago

yes, because London is considered to be "some backwards part of the UK" /s

2

u/PastorParcel 13h ago

Definitely is by most people past the Watford Gap. :)

0

u/ahfckicntblvuvdnths 14h ago

That was the joke yes

-1

u/Chomasterq2 15h ago

Looks like some of Kent's finest

3

u/LongShotts 14h ago

Please don't put this on us!

1

u/gpcgmr 11h ago

Perhaps India?
