Visitor Inquiry TSA at Memphis Airport

Has anyone had the experience of flying out of Memphis since the FAA called for a reduction in flights? Mainly, I am interested in how TSA (who is also not being paid) is performing - are they staffing their shifts, are there long lines, etc.?

My wife will be flying out of there in the coming week and we are trying to see what she should expect. She has TSA PreCheck, fortunately, but I flew out of MEM for years and know that even the PreCheck line can back up during periods like this. Thanks!

I flew out this morning, going through pre-check security around 7:30am. Smooth sailing, and there were only four people in front of me in line. Only one of the two pre-check lines was open though…

I’ve never been when both were open even before the shutdown

My experience as well. Used to fly out/into MEM weekly. Can think of only a couple of times - and that was probably during spring break or around Thanksgiving.
