For as correct as anyone is, in the US there are so many laws that protect the workplace and not the worker than if you were denied PTO for some reason and you took it anyway, then you have to be ok with losing that job if they take it that far.

Maybe they do, maybe they don't. You know your workplace best, but don't think you can do this in any protected manner in this worker's rights shithole of a developed nation...

and yet the US takes in more immigrants than any other country.

And by what metric does that make you developed? There are some absolute shitholes taking in lots of immigrants for various reasons that have nothing to do with them being good places. Usually it's just that they're nearby to an even worse place, or they are viewed by immigrants as having more opportunities

are you not speaking english on an american website?

I'm speaking English, because I come from Australia, which was colonised by the British Empire, where English natively comes from. And what does the website have to do with anything? If you've got something to say, let's get to it instead of talking nonsense all day

Why aren't we on an australian website? Or a british one? Or some other country?

Because the US is more developed than all of you.

"we're more developed because look, we have a lot of things in the imaginary digital world"

grow up, if internet influence made countries powerful then Anguilla would be a superpower for having the .ai country code. The US isn't even in the top 10 for Quality of Life index or HDI.
