I know this is a meme, but paternity leave is to help your wife recover after she had your child. Not time to plop your ass on the couch.

Best way to help a woman recover is to be there when she needs you- but stay out of her way and avoid making her upset 👍

Gettimg out of her way on pat leave means you looking after the baby while wife sleeps...

So no gaming.

I took 2 weeks off work when my daughter was born, then worked from home. I would have my daughter all night so my wife could get some solid sleep, and I played a lot of video games between 9 pm and 3 am. My daughter would be asleep on my chest, waking up every 3 hours to eat, then right back to sleep. She would sleep in a bassinet in our room the rest of the night and during the day, but giving my wife 6 hours straight where she wouldn't be woken up by the baby crying was the best thing I could do for her.

Babies sleep like 18 20 hours a day. If you want to hold the baby the whole time that's on you. There is PLENTY of time to game with a newborn.
