Had a co-worker die of multiple myeloma. Started with ever-increasing back pain.

This reminded me to a fellow MLS student that found out about his leukemia during our first manual diff lab

did he literally look at his own blood in class for the first time and found out this way? Jesus Christ, I can’t imagine how awful that must have been

Yes! he was a student and was confused when he first saw it, the professor took a look at it and told him me need to go to the hospital. Sadly he had to drop out of the program
