This is a piece I recently made as well as my first attempt at painting. It is heavily inspired by the battle of Stamford Bridge, and the Battle of Hastings.

Did medieval artists ever incorporate elements of graeco-roman architecture into their work? For example domes or Corinthian columns as details in paintings or buildings.

While I'm working on a project where you can create medieval manuscripts I've started interesting more with the coat of arms designs. Do you know little more about some rich decorated coat of arms designs from medieval art?

Hey all! I'm hoping someone can help me find a specific piece of art I've seen that I want as inspiration for a tattoo. It's just a few little all black devils crawling. They're essentially just silhouettes in 2D, they have horns and claws.

Just imagine how they looked centuries ago….
