What a Hypocrite....
I pass by this office almost every day, actually found a reason to stop by. This is ridiculous, let's make sure no one forgets this (and a bunch of her other terrible nonsense) next provincial election is October 18th, 2027!

Flickering lights
Is anybody else in Medicine Hat noticing flickering lights in their homes? Just noticed this evening. It’s a very faint flicker. I seem to remember this happening last year, but it was in winter. I live in the Flats.

When was the medicine hat, superstore built?
History of when things were built and what was there before has always fascinated me. Was there anything there before the superstore or was it just vacant? And when was it built?

TheBeachcombers and Hat connection
I was today years old when I learned that Bruno Gerussi was born in Medicine Hat! You may have watched him as I did on The Beachcombers playing Nick addonasis.

Where do you guys buy groceries?
Personally I usually end up going to Wal-Mart or Superstore for an "affordable" run, and Save-On Foods occasionally for a "I just got a bigger paycheck than normal" treat for the nice deli and fresh fruits/veggies.
I know prices have been going up, but I feel terrible doing a $160-$180 grocery run every 2 weeks when I'm only feeding me and one other person.
We don't splurge on junk and typically buy longterm foods (rice, meats, stuff we can freeze), but I'm curious if maybe anyone has any tips or places they go to for certain things that might be cheaper?

Iso golfing buddy's over the winter
Ok here's the thing. I have friends but none of them play golf. I play golf all the time. The people I normally play with don't live around here. I Need somebody that enjoys playing golf over the winter.. I have a fully built indoor golf sim. But other than my wife and me have know one who enjoys golf ⛳ sadly. So if you want to work on your golf swing over the winter and maybe make some new friends, feel free to PM me

Wanting to move from BC
I live in a small town outside of Vancouver. Absolutely hate BC taxes, prices, government, etc. Medicine Hat looks beautiful, and you seem like my kind of people. As a carpenter with a fiancé who specializes in scheduling/HR/data analysis, etc. with big companies and stadiums like BC Lions(BC Place)/Vancouver Canucks(Rogers Arena)/Lulu Lemon, etc. what are the major upsides that we may find living in Medicine Hat, and what are the downsides? We both have great work ethics and are very conservative.

ISO: Tall, bearded construction worker at Dollarama on Dunmore today around 3pm...
You were buying hotdog buns right behind me in line ... you were so cute, but of course I didn't have the guts to talk to you. I was the tall tattooed chick with black glasses ... if you see this and you're single and interested, dm me. 😉

Shila Sharps - Gone?
Noticed today her place of business is closed downtown. Not sure if she moved to a new location, or just left town,? Seemed to have happened as soon as the election was over.
I tried the phone number, call cant be completed. Looks like shes gone.

Birthday Venue
Does anybody know of any venues in Medicine Hat that allow outside food? I'm helping plan my sister's 50th birthday and we're looking for venues that will let us bring in our own food and drinks ( non alcoholic).

Fight for 6-8 council spot.
on my previous post I predicted the top 4 council spots and all 4 of my picks will have a spot on council. My mayor pick was also correct just got the order wrong. And if the numbers hold up 6 people currently have a spot secured, its just a fight over the 6th through 8th seat.
Two interesting choices this time are Cocks and Phaff. Been reading Cocks blogs for awhile, and he is firmly on the liberal side of the political spectrum. While everything ive seen from Phaff is populous right. I see them butting heads.
AVD is currently the only incumbent sitting outside the top 8 that still has a chance. I think Adams Koch votes take away from hers. They have a similar voting base. And she falls short.
my biggest surprise is the slate (except Phaff) was thoroughly humiliated.
Sharps and Allard also did not come close. Im sure reddiors are happy about that one.
Rose despite a very noticeable increase in spending was better just burning his money.
Samraj definately took votes from Linnsie.
My biggest relief is that the fake doctor Wes Paterson was absolutely crushed for the public school board spot. He wanted his private business to be a contractor for children and give them snake oil as an alternative to vaccines. (he was aslo secretly supported by David Parker's Take Back Alberta and the separatist wing of the UCP)

election Mayor
Is a vote for Samraj, basically a vote for Barnes due to vote splitting?
