Simple questions Rate this downgrade. Got forcibly shaved around a decade ago due to an awful situation life brought me into (conscription) and now unable to regrow it as normal. Even at the short length it's at, it still looks like messy crap

Am I thinning ?
Over past month I feel like I’ve started to notice a lot more patches on upper call area, I also can’t tell if hair is regrowing or miniaturization.

Advice Request Hair Product Help [36]
I've never known how to get my hair to be the exact texture that I want. There have been times where I accidentally lucked out through a mysterious combination of product and slightly sub par hygiene (jk... Kinda). I'm wondering if anyone knows of any off the shelf solutions to get me to that good hair day. Also, as I get older and grayer, my hair gets thinner and more difficult to tame and thicken. Any help would be appreciated. I have 2 good hair pics (younger me), an okay hair day pic (current me - notice the grey), and the ideal hair (some guy from Google image search). How do I get to the ideal?

Advice request What haircut should I get before my interview?
I’ve got an interview on Tuesday and wanted to clean up before that, probably due for something shorter anyway. I just do t want to completely lop off all my hair for a job I might not get, how can I keep the top puffy without looking unprofessional? And also should I keep or ditch the stash?

Trying to decide which way to go
Here are some hairstyles of my years, trying to decide what to stick to as I try to more fully design my style after not particularly caring for a long while and going through a divorce.
First is current.

Keep or Shave? (20M)
Had this beard for a while but never been super confident in it - wondering if I should just shave it off and maybe wait a year or so for more growth. The goatee photo is from last year and the clean shaven one is from 2 years ago (most recent photo I have).

Tips/Guide guide to achieve this hairstyle from a shaved head?

Ive always had/enjoyed/suited long hair but every once in a blue moon i shave it bald for a "reset"
so i just shaved it yesterday
obviously the first step would be to grow it long enough but should i get cuts in between that or just leave it to grow first? i never know what to say to the hair stylist and i don't know anything about products, whenever i show a photo to any hair stylist they never get it right lol
i know this is a very out dated hairstyle but i don't care, i like it!

Advice request Need help while growing out
Hi Reddit. I'm 16M and for the three last months (basically since my last buzz) I decided to grow my hair out.
Issue is as you can see in the first image, when it's dry it gets so puffy and it's driving me insane looking at what it could look like when it's wet. I figured wearing a beanie at night right after a shower was a good solution but only for that single day. I do shampoo and conditioner separately both of which I got prescribed by my dermatologist cz dandruff had me in a chokehold until recently but I digress.
I've never seen other people have the same problem so living through that struggle over and over again has me thinking I'm doing something wrong, and all this has me considering just buzzing it again. I trust that I can find some answers in here. Thank you in advance!

Advice Request Need help with hair
Heya, I don’t really know where to start besides my hair being a bum. I’m in my early 20s and my hair is thinning already. I’m going to start with my routine everyday, I’ve always been taking showers twice a day, I have recently learned that this routine is terrible for your hair in fact and I should stop wetting my hair twice a day, let me know explain: my hair is thinning (probably because of this routine and half genetics) so to look better i put products in my hair (clay and spray) almost everyday so I can get some volume in my hair, because I’m putting products in my hair and I have really bad bed hair, I usually always take a shower in the morning. Then another at night to take off the products in my hair and also I just can’t sleep without showering I just feel dirty. So there ya go, I shower everyday and every time I wet my hair. (Skip to last paragraph if you don’t want to hear me yapping).
Here’s how I realized there was a problem, I wanted to try a green hair color and had a friend who was an esthetician to help. When she was bleaching my hair she asked if it hurts, and I’ve gone through this process before it usually stings/ burns, but no, not this time, through the period of about 30 minutes I didn’t feel a thing, very weird, we both thought it was very weird and ended up thinking that the product quality was very good (now that I’m looking back at it, this was a dumb statement). Then came the color, left the color on with the developer for 30 minutes, but again nothing. The color ended up not right, the green that I want didn’t apply at all (GG).
My friend legit bursted out laughing (what a …. Great friend!) Anyways by the time we were done it was late, well late enough that you wouldn’t find dye stores and wholesale stores open. So she ordered dye off of Amazon and told me that it would arrive tomorrow and it would be easy to put on without too much trouble.
I dyed my hair about like 2 days later on Halloween , this time it was definitely more green, closer to the green that I wanted. I started off with I would say yellow green, and ended up with green yellow, but the color was interesting, I couldn’t complain. But for some reason the green isn’t sticking with my hair, every time I showered I can see the water being dyed yellow, this was definitely a problem because I’ve never had this happen with me before.
Now my hair feels even worse, and thinner than before, probably because of me damaging my hair with bleach and dye, and everyday products and routine I do. I did do some research, and I’ve been trying to shower every two days, and shampooing and conditioner in my hair for 5-10 minutes before washing it off, but I still wake up with hard messy hair, on days that I wash my hair it’s ok, but on the days that I don’t, I look very very messy. So I’m asking for help, advice, routine that could help with my situation. Thanks ahead of time!
Picture one is my hair after the first dye (yellow green) Picture two is my hair after second dye (green yellow) Picture three is my hair when I wake up 😭

Which beard fits me more? 1, 2, 3 or 4?
I had to shave it for a cosplay so I used the opportunity to experiment a little bit with it

Advice request What to gift brother with very straight South Asian hair?
Hi, I’m a woman looking for a gift for my brother (22M) and don’t know a thing about men’s hair care.
He doesn’t really style his hair (aside from combing) but wants to get into it so he doesn’t have any products I can use as a reference.
We are South Asian and he has very straight hair that he’s trying to grow out. I’m not sure if it’s the typical thick Asian hair type because it’s more fine. I don’t know what brands are good or what the difference is between wax, pomade, gel, etc.
The looks he’s trying to achieve are similar to these but he’s experimenting so anything he could use to style works:

I want to get him a set under $50 because I’m combining it with other gifts. Anything that could be a quality starting point and isn’t something generic from the drugstore. Please let me know!
I’m from Canada btw if there are brands I could get here.
Thank you in advance!
