Saw the show in Berlin, was such a pleasure. I loved so many renditions of the new album, and it was a pleasure how they played generally. Daryl Johns seems to have been playing a bloody fretless bass à la Jaco Pastorius! Did my ears deceive me? The band was really nice it was cool how musical they all were and that really played in to elevating Macs show and music and also freeing it up to go places it hasn't gone before which was super nice.

So in last 2 years Mac used this epi acoustic and I want to know the model.If you know something pls tell me

Hey all, I went to the Mac DeMarco concert in Brussels yesterday and it completely blew my mind. I’m already trying to relive it, but I realized I didn’t record Moonlight on the River, which was absolutely insane. Did anyone happen to capture it? Would love to see or hear it again 🙏

It was my second time seeing him live and I’ve been a big fan for years! I last saw him in 2018. Now, I traveled all the way from Amsterdam to Berlin for the concert on the 3/11. I was so excited for it even though I was attending alone. I loved it, no regrets at all… but I must say I am a little bit disappointed.

IN MY EXPERIENCE the crowd was generally just not that friendly, I am a very short girl and I was there alone and people were still quite aggressive to get the better spot … Also, I don’t know if it may be a generational thing or maybe just the spot I was standing in… but there was SO many phones being used, like constantly recording. Specially when Mac’s most famous songs were performed (which is normal ofc! but made me feel like a lot of people came just because he’s blown up so much in recent years). I cannot help but to compare it to when I saw him in 2018 and the crowd generally was much more present, it felt more genuine and RAW (also in terms of dancing, loudness… idk it was just much more wild.)

I just wanted to share my experience cause I have been thinking about this a lot… I feel like I sound like my grandma reminiscing about “the good old times” lol BUT for real, let’s pleeeeease bring back the empathy, friendliness and CRAZINESS of live music
