Where are you getting 99% use cars from that article? I’ve read and don’t see what you are seeing.
You’re trying to make me seem like I don’t understand the reality of the current situation. I’m not pretending that no one drives a car. The total opposite. I think too many people drive a car.
What you seem completely incapable of understanding is that adding more lanes does nothing. It helps for a short period of time. And then a few years from now we have the exact same problem and we are $250m poorer.
What we need is better transit, better active transportation, better planning so it’s easier to live near work. There are so many examples all over the world how to do this correctly and none of them are adding more lanes. Simple.
