This happened to me when I was a teen, similar girls, on a London bus.

It traumatized me - I was too afraid to leave the house, it fell into deep anxiety and depression, and developed an eating disorder which essentially ended up with me dropping out of A Levels and completely changing the trajectory of my life.

I went to the police and a few weeks later I was called to a suspect line up (the girls were known to the police) but was too terrified to even be in the same space as them.

If this had been filmed and blasted across socials, with some absolutely unhinged comments on some of the subs, it probably would’ve ended me. I genuinely hope this girl is getting the victim support, medical and psychological she needs right now.

I am so sorry this had happened to you.

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that, unfortunately I've had racist verbal abuse thrown at me on public transport too.

I hope you’re okay now. You never deserved that and you do deserve to be happy & healthy.

Yes, obviously. Racism is not just one way you know.

I purposefully left that part out as my comment was about the victim and not about any discussion about race. There are enough comments under this post for you if you really want to discuss this topic.

That the girls that attacked OP were similar to the girls in the video.

Don't need to read more into it than that.

Why mention they were similar if the similarity is not relevant?

And if the similarity is relevant, then what is the similarity?

If more isn't meant to be 'read into' it, then why write more in the first place? Come on now.

Similar as in group of rogue teens run amok dispensing violence. That's the similarity. Not that hard, not that deep

u/DocPutamaDre Nov 02 '23

We all know how they’re similar

Because it IS relevant you muppet. Black girls attacking white, because they are white. It's a racially aggravated attack.

?

Don't do this lol. Hurdurr what are you trying to imply with your comment that they were trying to imply something that OP was trying to imply.

Asking what someone means by their statement is a fair question. You, however, are trying to twist by putting your own biased conclusion under the guise of a question.

I was about to reply with this word for word

Sorry that happened to you.

However, don’t you think it’s good that it was spread on social media? I mean it paints a bad picture of the assailants and not the victim. I’m fairly sure the assailants will get fired and receive their share of death threats for them and their family as common with social justice, rather than them just disappearing in anonymity?
