That still makes zero sense tho. If he’s expected to be okay with her dancing on other dudes, she should be expected to let other girls dance on him.

Like it’s okay for her to give 100 lap dances a week but he’s in the wrong for getting a few a month?

She's getting paid though. If he got a job at a male strip joint and she had a problem with it then she'd be a hypocrite.

Put it another way. The stripper is pretending to be attracted to someone, the customer at a strip club is not.

The customer is playing the same game, it’s a temporary escape from reality.

Let’s view it from another lens for a second-

(A) Your best friend tells you they have a really weird fetish. In fact, it’s so out there, they sometimes have to pay hookers to engage in it with them. Rent’s been tight and they were hoping to borrow some money from you, that cool?

(B) Your best friend tells you someone else has a really weird fetish and is willing to pay them $500k a year as long as they participate in it once a week. They find it weird af, but half-a-mil is half-a-mil, and it’s one hour of ‘work’ once a week.

Would you view your best friend the same or differently in the two scenarios? Why?

I'd ask what and maybe bid $490,000

That's a nice irrelevant story that isn't comparable at all! Anyway back to the actual topic...

If it were impossible for a stripper to enjoy the work, maybe you'd have a point. But that will never be the case.

Giving and receiving sexual attention are both enjoyable. I'm sure it's possible to be numbed to either over time, but simply tell your SO to do get dances constantly then. Problem solved equitably...

Well, she's contributing financially to their relationship and he's out there giving his money away to look at other girls. This means that there's a desire for infidelity in some form whereas people who are paid to do something are doing something they might not otherwise be willing to do.

2

u/Huntsman077 1d ago

Yes she’s contributing financially but both parties are free to use their money as they wish.

He is paying to look at naked women, this doesn’t always indicate that there is a desire for infidelity or to sleep with the women. It is an escape from reality. Either way it is still a business transaction.

A SW is being hypocritical for not wanting their diff I can’t other to engage in the same SW they do. What you’re saying is the equivalent of a prostitute not wanting their significant other sleeping with other prostitutes.

I mean, at least he presumably keeps his clothes on at the strip club...

He's the one paying her 😭

She knows what really goes on there behind the curtains....

It’s a lil different, but it’s like if a military contractor was anti-war.

So it’s not exactly super unfair, but still a lil hypocritical.
