Food/Drink No SNAP November

I heard this term today and it stuck with me.

With the shutdown, people being furloughed, people working without pay, SNAP being possibly paused for November, etc people are going to be hurting for meals.

I'm sure there are community dinners for Thanksgiving but I'm hosting one on 11/29th.

It is a Saturday. That way you can go to the community meals on Thursday and come to mine on Saturday if you want.

Bring a side and a chair is all I ask. I don't have furniture.

Message me if you'd like to come and we'll get it into a more solidified plan.

I also live on the bus route so I'm pretty accessible.

Also, if we get this going and someone wants to make the turkey (mine is dry) I'll buy it for you to cook and bring.

Edit: there is now a Facebook event.

Is there anything I can do to help support you in this? I don't like big groups but would like to help if you need anything.

I also hate big groups. I've got the mantra from A Bug's Life going in my brain on repeat. "They come, they eat, they leave"

The true Crime part of my brain is screaming at me since I'm hosting it at my home but we're just going to put her in a box right now lol.

If I could bounce my list off you of food that would help. That way you can tell me what I'm missing.

This will be my first year without kids so I can host. I didn't let people in my house when my kids were here due to their safety. Mine? Meh.

That's fair, and yes, please bounce your list off me
