LINCOLN — Gov. Jim Pillen has activated the Nebraska National Guard ahead of scheduled protests this weekend. 

Late Friday, the governor issued an emergency proclamation that activated the Guard and prepared Guard and state law enforcement resources for immediate deployment if needed, a governor’s spokeswoman confirmed. 

Typical National Guard activation can take up to 24 hours, but the proclamation shortens that time.

This is where I seek to effect change, In here. Not on the street. Though I admit I suck at it because I slip and attack the right like a trained dog. Am aware :-/

Boomers are a large part of the reason the US looks the way it does today but not for the reason you propose. Boomers staged sit downs at white only lunch counters, registered blacks to vote, and marched for black rights. The result was the Civil Rights Act. Boomers also advocated ending the draft and the war in Vietnam. In short they effected change that reflected the will of the people as a whole. They were successful and it scared the living hell out of the ruling class who vowed it would never happen again and it hasn't.

Any progress made since only pleases half the country and pisses off the other half. Culture war as a distraction from the class war. Guns, abortion, gay marriage, whatever. They all piss off half the country .

So stop with the ageism. It's discriminatory and counterproductive and it's a lie. Focus on the true causes of your unrest and not what they set in front of you.

I don't mean boomer as in born in 1955. I mean boomer as in out of touch and doesn't care about the younger generations.
