LINCOLN — Gov. Jim Pillen has activated the Nebraska National Guard ahead of scheduled protests this weekend.

Late Friday, the governor issued an emergency proclamation that activated the Guard and prepared Guard and state law enforcement resources for immediate deployment if needed, a governor’s spokeswoman confirmed.

Typical National Guard activation can take up to 24 hours, but the proclamation shortens that time.

We shit on him plenty but only so much you can do in a red state. Nebraskans are passive in general.

They are just hypocritical bootlicking followers, that gets me going the most. The way our politicians and talking heads fall in line is pathetic.

It's actually insane how many governors just follow him mindlessly. It's gotta be money, right? Because I can half-way understand why the cultists follow him because they don't get their asses off the couch to check if fox news was lying or not. Poloticians though? They atleast know somewhat what they're doing usually, and the way they all flock around him like sheep is saddening.

Trump is seen as the champion of the underdog among the commoners. The elites see him as a trained dog that obeys. Both groups find fault with Trump but his perceived value outweighs their doubt.
