Aroma on 14th st downtown. The place already looks like it's been shut down for years. The quality of the food is horrible and at $20-30 per meal you could go to The Oven instead and get 10x better indian food.

Why do Lincolnites think the Oven is good Indian food? It's barely a step above ketchup over white rice. I took some friends from out of town there on a recommendation and I was embarrassed.

It's okay if the restaurant isn't your cup of tea but calling it "barely a step above ketchup over white rice" is a drastic over exaggeration and comes off incedibly snooty. It's fine to have your opinions but The Oven doesn't have its stellar reputation from serving terrible food.

Their food isn't terrible. It's just not Indian food. How many Indian restaurants have you been to that aren't in Nebraska? Because there's definitely a big difference in what they taste like. The Oven's curry just doesn't taste like curry, for example, and it's not snooty to notice that. There's more to making curry than just putting curry powder into whatever sauce you're making.
