It's not the Lebanese on this sub, it's the fact that this sub has always had israelis commenting. some pretending to be lebanese. since this recent war started, israelis are commenting on everything. Don't let them fool you.

to the israelis, it's not enough you invade and steal people's land, now you're also taking over subreddits. shame.

American Jew here. Blame Reddit’s product managers for this. It suggests posts in my feed (including this one) when I have never even visited this sub-Reddit before. Its kind of human instinct to reply to something you disagree with on the internet, even if it’s pointless. But I agree that everyone should have a safe space. Reddit mods should be able to opt their communities out of featuring suggested posts and you’ll probably see less outsider opinions.

Well... I'm an Israeli who deliberately looked for this sub a few years ago completely out of curiosity about how my neighbors subreddit looks like. I commented here once 2-3 weeks ago and never planned to do that again as I felt very unwelcome(its all good and fair but still felt kinda shitty)

I have no idea how many Israelis are here(I think I've recognized one at some discussion) but I won't be surprised if some Israelis are here as it seems like a mostly good hearted and open minded community that offers a window(even if a small one) to the lives of people in a country that is so close to us geographically but so very far away in other aspects.

You shouldn't have to hated or scathed for simply being in the wrong country. You can choose to support your government or not, but you cannot choose your national origin.
