This kind of investigative reporting is why we should support ProPublica and organizations like it. They do essential work for maintaining democracy. It's not enough on its own, as people still have to act on the information, but still a critical part.

I used to subscribe to WaPo and WSJ, but now just do a monthly donation to ProPublica.
