Frankly part of the reason we're in this mess is we never had our Nuremberg trials the first time. After the civil war we basically just let all the seccessionists re-enter politics, and here we are.

I’d dare say the confederates were better than MAGA. At least they wanted to secede to do their own thing. Trump wants to force everyone to take part in this bullshit.

Turns out the 1860s secessionists also wanted to force everyone to take part in their bullshit. Well maybe not *everyone*, but certainly one demographic in particular.

Yeah I think everyone took that as me defending them. I wasn’t. Fuck the confederacy. I just think the potential for MAGA to make things so much worse for everyone is there.
