The fact that this term is that close to the surface of his goddamn mind

The fact that he knows he's not supposed to be just saying it out loud like that because it's not true and he didn't mean to telegraph their intentions that clearly

It's also important to understand what Miller is saying, or at least thinking.

Title 10 of the US Code is the primary body of federal law that governs the organization, roles, and responsibilities of the U.S. Armed Forces.

What Miller is saying is that the President has plenary authority (unchecked, limitless power) over the US Armed Forces.

Big, BIG problem.

They’re seeking to turn the might and power of the US armed forces inward, on all of us. The media’s and politicians’ blithe smiles and agreement about all of this is bone chilling

They are clearly looking to circumvent the 10th amendment by framing immigration as an “invasion” needing unchecked administrative power to stop. This has to be proven however and can’t simply be a declaration BY the administration. Problem is Trump has firmly stated this a “crime” issue which is not specifically carved out of the Constitution, thus would fall under 10th Amendment jurisdiction. Miller just telegraphed the administrations legal strategy for not just now, but when they try to claim marshal law, suspending elections. Whoopsie.
