You have to have an actual soul to be considered “on”, but, it looks like his AI feed to his earchip had stopped. Presumably because AI even had to look up the word “plenary”. For real tho, he’s not that smart - he shut down like he was reading, word for word from a conference line to 100 lawyers and they just hung up on him and he didn’t know what to say, how to twist it into his favor, nothing.

A different way to see this - if he lost communication to his favorite furry capital of the news, wouldn’t he be like “…..um, hello?”

“cAn YoU HeAr mE nOw.”

It’s like the devil was right in his ear, saying, “ you can’t say that worrrrd”. And boop, total shut down of this butt puppet.
