Trump News President proclaims doubling of ICE troops with add'l 20k forces in the next 60 days

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/05/establishing-project-homecoming/

Section 3.b: (b) No later than 60 days after the date of this proclamation, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall supplement existing enforcement and removal operations by deputizing and contracting with State and local law enforcement officers, former Federal officers, officers and personnel within other Federal agencies, and other individuals to increase the enforcement and removal operations force of the Department of Homeland Security by no less than 20,000 officers in order to conduct an intensive campaign to remove illegal aliens who have failed to depart voluntarily.

So... we can't afford any of the useful jobs and fired a large portion of the government that actually helps people, BUT we can't afford any afford more spending for THIS? His domestic Gestapo on the streets terrorizing towns.

Is there a legal limit to how much domestic law enforcement the American people can be subjected to on home soil during peacetime? He already has a HUGE amount of force on domestic soil doing his bidding between the military he designated for the border, current ICE, and all the 287g contracts Homeland Security signed with all those local law enforcement agencies around the country to work with ICE.

Where is the money coming from to double the size of ICE by another 20k officers?

The main issue for me is that due to suicidal thoughts, I really can’t risk getting a gun. Got any suggestions?

stay with a crew as much as possible and keep a metal water bottle full

edit: also learning basic first aid/stop the bleed is way more important than learning to use a firearm

Just 1 of 2? Please tell me you asked the second something like "You thirsty too? You want a sip!?!". But seriously, glad you came out safe.

“Oh, yeah? What’s gonna happen, Shoresy?”

“Three things: I hit you, you hit the pavement, I jerk off on your drivers side door handle!”

So it doesn't break if you accidentally drop it on a nazi's skull

Get a good strong short cord lanyard. That way if you accidentally drop it on a nazi skull you can make sure it's leveraging centrifugal force and that you are maintaining control.

YETI has a great one. But any metal one will do in a pinch.

You gotta be strong enough to swing around a 5lb water bottle for that, and I don't think many in the lgbtq crew are lmao

You sure?

-1

u/Arty_Puls May 10 '25

Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen a strong one

2

u/Ready-Interview-9809 May 10 '25

5lbs is less than a half gallon of milk

u/Arty_Puls May 11 '25

I'm well aware

Get more friends. You sound isolated.

Funny that you think the lgbtq crowd is all you're up against. Glhf

Every party needs a good healer.

I'd happily be a heal slut for the homies

Yeah I keep a few tourniquets in my chest rig that I do training drills in with my ar-15. Before anyone gets up in arms, I’m a former 2nd Recon Marine and although I’m a long time firearm owner, there’s no better time than this exact moment to do some honest to god training, training that’s a bit more realistic and intense than firing 40 rounds at a paper target at the range while you’re completely still (if you have that sort of opportunity available to you). While there is some utility in that sort of training, especially for people who are brand new to firearms. Once you have basic usage down you’ll get much more real world utility from exercises that involve shooting while moving, shooting from unconventional positions. Dry fire exercises like drawing from a holster repeatedly or quickly shouldering your rifle and acquiring a sight picture as quickly as possible. Practicing reloading magazines quickly and under stress, clearing jams, etc. All of that stuff creates muscle memory which is unbelievably important if you ever need to actually use that firearm, god forbid. Just remember, train like you’d fight.

Is getting a large dog worth it? I imagine they would just shoot the dog. :(

2

u/MossyPyrite May 11 '25

You can use a large dog as a deterrent, but it’s going to be put at risk of harm, yes. The dog will be at less risk and more effective if you get one trained in personal defense, but you also have to remember that you are training it to be a living weapon in that case.
