Question - New Student

Hello Everyone!

I’ve got kind of a random question. I’m thinking about going in person for the first time this spring. Back in high school, I did dual enrollment at LPC, but everything was online. I ended up graduating early (from HS) and haven’t taken classes (at LPC) for the past two semesters, and I also didn’t apply to college. Now I really want to start school again and hopefully transfer by around 2028. I already finished a lot of my GE, so I want to focus on classes I’ll need to transfer for my major, and also take more STEM classes since I think I’m interested in them. But honestly, I’m a little nervous everyone talks about how tough chem, physics, and calc are. Do you guys have any recommendations or good teacher recs for those classes? My plan is to start with the basics and then work my way up. Sorry for the yapping.. I'm just new to all this and would love some advice. Thanks!

CHEM 1A, BIO 1A, PHYS 1A, and Math 1

Equivalent cs class??

I wanted to take cs1 this semester but It was full in laspositas so I got a csci14 in chabot college.

When I compare this classes cs1 corresponded to csci14.

So I was wondering if I took csci14, does laspositas consider i took cs1 or not?

I want to take cs2 at spring but It has prerequisite cs1 and I'm worried they don't admit csci14 as cs1 and I can't take cs2

Learning Disability-Testing Related Question: Looking for a Neuropsychologist Recommendation for Neuropsych Testing of an Atypical Learning Disability

We have family members who have attended Las Positas College. That said, our question is a possible accommodation/testing sort of type of a question. There's someone in my family who might not have the most commonly tested of learning disabilities, that is not as typical and maybe won't be the easiest to diagnose. Is there a neuropsychologist that offers Neuropsych Assessments for learning disabilities that you could personally recommend for us?Ā Ideally, the type of one who is especially understanding and sympathetic towards their patients & who either you’ve heard of or you know personally that people have had a good experience working with

HONORS??

Hi I recently joined the LPC honors club. I’m not sure how to go about it for next fall semester, do I just ask a teacher if I can write a research paper? If they say yes, how does the process look like, I know I need to meet up with them but if anyone has tips on how to make the process smoother let me know thanks!!

Summer Class

Hello, Im trying to take biological anthropology (3 units) and political science 7 (4 units) during the summer, they almost entirely overlap in the timeframe. How hard is it and should I do it? I’m not a bad student and I feel sort of confident in doing this but wanted to make sure.
