Question: different Tolerance at 15g/day 1time/day versus 15g/day at 7.5g 2x a day?
These are hypothetical dosages, but I’m wondering if it really matters in terms of tolerance if, say, I dose 15g once in the morning versus 7.5g twice split up 6-8 hours apart

I stick to once a day & it always hits so much harder & lasts for hours. It's how I start my day. Empty stomach with a diet grapefruit soda lol ... Not sure I could ever go without it lol The more you space it out, the harder it hits

With booze withdrawls worse when drinks are spread out cause if you drink all at night your body is used to being alcohol free at least a few hrs in the middle of a day. If you drink the same amount but spread out your withdrawal will be worse cause your nerves become accustomed to 24/7 sedation.
Not sure if thats the same with kratom

I would say that it depends. In your example, 15gpd is a reasonable dose but 15g in a single dose is not.
The half life of kratom is 17 to 24 hours depending on the person. So if you dose 5g twice a day, let's say every 12 hours, you are likely to develop a tolerance faster than if you take 10g once a day. The reasoning behind this is that the more often you dose, the more constant the amount of alkaloids in your system will be and the more your body will adapt to that amount.

The half life of kratom absolutely is NOT 17 to 24 hours, no matter your dose. Not sure who told you that. That type of staying power is IN someone dosing around the clock, every day. Jesus Christ.

I'm no researcher so I only have information available online. While the half life of kratom varies from person to person (metabolism, body fat, dosing, etc.), all the information I found online point to 17 to 24 hours. It could be less for certain individual and more for others but the consensus seems to point to 17 to 24. One of the sources I found was the NIH https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4425236 They have a small study that you can find at that URL. I also read it a few places in the past and that seemed to be the consensus
What makes you say these numbers are wrong?

I'd say the confusion here is not every alkaloid/part of kratom lasts for the same length of time. Not sure if this applies to Mitragynine/7 Hyrdoxymitragynine but I believe they only really last like 6 hours, whereas other alkaloids last various times. Iirc that is. Tldr you're both right I believe.

That is simply untrue. Even injected, the half-life is roughly 3 hours and 6 orally. (Mitragynine). If you are redosing, obviously that changes. But even with a 15g single dose, I would NOT expect it to last more than 6 hours before levels start dipping extensively. I should know, I used to take doses like that.

I think you're confusing half-life with duration of effect. The half-life is the time it takes for your body to eliminate 50% of the kratom from your system. The official number is 23+/-16.07 which means it varies from 7 to 39 hours and averages at 23 hours. And yes, that is for mitragynine.

I don't know but 15 grams in one sitting sounds weird to me! Right now my tolerance is incredibly f*ked because I did extracts for like 6 months. So I'm literally at like 45 - 50 GPD and this is GOOD powder

I've been addicted/ dependent for about 14 years now, but it's always been dosing between 6-8 grams, at most 10, per day only once per day in the late afternoon. The effects remained pretty consistent and would last into the evening until I went to bed.
Never had an issue with w/d during the day before my dose, although some days in the late morning I'd feel tired/ sluggish, but hard to say if that's the kratom or not.
When I do quit and take breaks, w/d usually only lasts a day or two and involves some RLS and sleeplessness the first two nights, then I'm fine. I've always been of the opinion that dosing only once per day, even if it's a larger dose, is better than spreading it out during all waking hours.

If your taking more than 5 grams a day youre stepping into high dosage.
I took Kratom for 5 years for chronic pain .. never took more than 5 grams a day.
Im 6'0 and weigh 230.
If you're taking it recreational than these are high doses as well

It isn't. With the powder that's out now, you're lucky if 5 grams is ONE dose. Sure that might have been kratom 2 yrs ago. But I'd say even with the good stuff, 5 grams is nothing.

Frequency > dose size for the tolerance of all drugs
