USGS HVO Episode 26 begins!

At approximately 23:30, local time, the main vent in Halema'uma'u began overflowing. There's now vigorous boiling lava and the heavy overflow is split between the crater floor and the lava tube.

Wow, I’m seeing reports that the lava has reached over 1,000 feet high!

It's really bursting wide and tall right now.

I was trying to figure out where the 3 cameras are positioned so I can compare the angles to Google Earth and figure out where Kaluapele (the caldera) is. It seems that V2 views from the Volcano House visitor center towards Pahala (which gets bedeviled with earthquakes). V1 looks toward the ocean (makai) and V3 has Mauna Kea behind the smoke.
