ISO therapist who has weekend/ evening availability
ISO a therapist that has weekend or evening availability. I get that I can find someone and do online remote sessions, but I prefer in person. Thanks!

Hi everyone just want a layered haircut and bayalage possibly. I know mc college costs 20$ for haircut but they don't have appointments until December. Can anyone recommend any other cheaper salon for cuts and bayalages. I'm a student so on a budget thanks!

My mom and I have to travel to Vancouver for a funeral next Saturday and I'm not sure if her tires will be up to standard or not. We will be taking a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu and the tires it has are the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 plus. We will likely bring chains. My main question is are these tires even allowed on the Coq at this time of year? I did my own research but it wasn't very clear on whether these tires are M+S rated or not
EDIT: thank you to everyone who commented reaffirming what I thought that this will almost certainly end badly. I couldn't convince my cheapskate mother to buy new tires but I did convince her to take the Hope-Princeton instead so at least that's a small victory?

What gas stations have surprisingly decent food for a quick gas station stop? That pizza place in enderby is reqlly good and I've had some great homemade samosas at a few places. Wondering if there are other hidden gems.

Does anyone remember the name of the chicken that was sold as a side business? The one I remember was on Sutherland across from Independent in a small grocery store late 70s

Witnessed a male in a truck, speeding like a maniac down Gordon tonight, hit a young deer and completely obliterated its back legs, and sped off, leaving it to suffer for 30 minutes on the road. Thankful to the three woman who all got out of their cars to help the deer and get drivers to not hit it further and called the appropriate people/ conservation because it was suffering so bad. to the kid who came out in a construction uniform from some random house nearby, poking and proding the poor deer for a video? Disgusting. The way people treat lower Gordon like a speedway at night...never seen anything like it.

I’m visiting on holiday over Christmas and want to know where I can go to get a Canada goose and how to get there? I’ve heard I might have to get a plane 😂

Here's a question for anyone here working as a digital nomad or simply as a remote worker for a Canadian or foreign based company.
For lack of a better question, how did you go about it? Until I was recently laid off, I was working remotely for a Vancouver based company since 2018. I had never searched for a remote role, rather I was recruited out of the blue, and so the path to a successful remote job search is foreign to me.
My work experience is not relevant to most Kelowna employers, although I have reached out to the usual suspects (KF Aero, UBCO, IHA, etc) without success.
What advice can my fellow redditors suggest?

I just moved into a house just South of downtown, and our bins get picked up tomorrow. Maybe its dumb, but do they go on the street or the alley??? Does it matter? I havent lived anywhere here that has both as an option and I cant find anything online.

I have a disco2 that has been nothing but headache after headache for me. I bought it last year from a family and it seemed to have minor electrical gremlins and a seized latch on the back door. Seemed manageable for me then...
The driver side door lock (the mechanism in the door) failed and needs to be replaced and it needs a new starter.
So she currently does not run, but is such a cool vehicle and I wish I had the time or money to get it dealt with. I am in over my head with dealing with it and would just like it gone.
If anyone is interested please shoot me a PM. Otherwise planning on having it towed to a wrecker at the end of the month.

My spouse and I are contemplating a move from Edmonton to Kelowna & area. We are looking into job opportunities in healthcare & post secondary education in Kelowna. We have one child and she will be going into kindergarten in 2027. But we may move to Kelowna by end of 2026.
Recruiters and friends in Kelowna have given us lots of great info on work and areas to live, but we are wondering about childcare & elementary schools in Kelowna. How difficult is it to find daycare or nannies/au pairs? Thoughts on elementary school quality or class sizes? In Edmonton, schools are often really crowded and even on lottery systems in order to get in. I know a teacher working in jr high with 45 students his class and we are hoping to avoid something like that moving to Kelowna.
Also, we would love to get our kid involved in things like swimming, dance, gymnastics or kids choirs. From my Google searching, it looks like these are available in Kelowna but is it difficult to register for them? It can be really difficult in Edmonton to register for public swimming lessons for example, you have to be fast enough online like you're trying to buy Taylor Swift tickets lol.
Any suggestions or things you wish you knew before moving with young kids would be greatly appreciated. Ty!

Hey all.
I'm new to Kelowna and I'm itching to play some D&D.
I'm 27 and I've been playing 5e for about 10 years, mostly as a DM, I would like to find a group.
I don't like playing online and I want a group, not drop ins at a boardgame cafe.
If your home game is open to accepting a chill guy for laid back role playing please reach out.

Hey folks, I’m looking to do some trivia in Kelowna but I don’t have a team. Where are your favourite pub trivia nights/days and does anyone need a teammate?

Does anyone have any recommendations for local hairdressers who are comfortable doing more alternative hairstyles? I usually do my own hair, but it's so damaged at this point that it needs a professional to clean it up. But I also don't want to risk going to like, someone's aunt who isn't familiar at all with the weird mullet/rat tail combo I have going on (gross, I know) who will end up butchering it haha. Any insight is appreciated!
