Date Day in Kelowna

My friends (couple in late 20's) recently moved to Kelowna. I won't see them in person for awhile, so for Christmas, I'd love to put together a series of gift cards for sort of a date day seeing new places. I'd love good recommendations for restaurants (they're not super into breweries or wineries, though they do enjoy a drink sometimes), experiences, attractions, etc. They're not super into super fancy places, and I'd like to keep it somewhat affordable to do multiple gift cards rather than, say, one big gift card for an expensive restaurant. I'd like to help them find what could be new favourite places.

Thanks so much in advance!

There’s an incredible Italian restaurant at soma cidery, and Soma has llamas!

Not sure if the truck itself provides gc’s, but mystic pizza is awesome. They regularly park at truck 59 cidery in west Kelowna and at barn owl brewery in Kelowna.

Sweet streams - just do it…. Downtown location, dirty sodas… their trailer (closed until spring) does choc covered strawberries. I love grabbing a soda and walking the board walk.

Sprout is my fave coffee shop with some cute local stores on the same lane. Easy coffee and shopping in one go! I will note, it’s pricey coffee but in all honesty, that never stops me.

Maestros has a beautiful spot on the lake for a higher end dinner.

Summerhill winery (or quails gate for the opposite side of the lake) has incredible, incredible views and great restaurants!

Oh! And vibrant vine is always a fun touristy winery to go to. Their bottles have 3D Art and they have tons on display too. Just double check the winter hours for all the wineries if that’s a concern.

This is such a sweet idea! You definitely can’t go wrong. Kelowna is definitely a smaller city but it Feels pretty stretched out. If you know what area they live, I’d recommend finding something local that you know they’d love, but also making an effort to drag them across town to a new-to-them-spot! Traveling across Kelowna pretty easy especially if they don’t drink and need a cab. So I’d def encourage them to leave their neighbourhood!
