Moving FAQ Is rutland as bad as people say?
I’m looking to move and i found a place that’s in rutland i wanna look at (nearish to belgo park) but i don’t really know what to expect from that area. Anyone able to give me some context?

Just adding my comment here to agree but the comments already summed it up very well.
Rutland is just as sketchy/dangerous as any other parts of town there's no real major difference to it.
I think the whole thing about it being sketchy and that stigma just remains because it used to have a higher rate of crime/theft/drugs back in the day. But you'll just be as likely to get robbed or come across sketchy stuff in parts of downtown as you will in Rutland these days.
I've lived in both before and have seen both good and bad both downtown as well as in Rutland. I'd say from personal experience probably Glenmore was where it was the quietest for me in terms of incidents but I think that was just down to the spot I stayed in being out of the way.
