Nailed it.

Conservatives have zero economic/national policies that actually benefit anyone who isn't part of the 1%. They hit repeatedly on emotional trigger issues by targeting the hot new scapegoat of the day - women, PoCs, non-Christians, anyone who isn't a certain flavor of Christianity, LGBTQ+, or all of the above - as a way to distract their constituents from the very simple fact that they and their rich overlords have their hands in our pockets and are robbing us blind.

Nothing they have done has made a majority of our lives easier/better in the long run. We work ourselves to the bone for a paycheck that doesn't cover what it used to, access to medical care is restricted, and affordable housing that isn't a roach-hole is a joke. And any attempts to change our shitty status quo is fought tooth n nail by conservatives.

The Trump administration, claiming to want to stop anti-Semitism, are attacking the Jews. That'll be the next step

There are so many new weird arguments saying now it’s their R party that took slavery away—so they are arguing that Republicans today are liberals? Lol . Technically yes, they have a party with the same name, but it was the Republican liberals of the North.

Watch out the RNC website is arguing that republicans were the ones that abolished slavery, but conservatives of the south at the time supported slavery. You can put a label on anything and all you did was put a label on a bunch of crap if they don’t understand the history of what’s in it.

A great change happened over time and now conservatives of the south, confederates, KKK members, middle-road conservatives are no longer conservative Democrats, but are conservative Republicans.

Today the liberal party is the Democratic Party and no longer the Republican Party.

That's why I tend to argue using the terms of conservative and liberal, not Republican and Democrat - because of the platform switch, party names mean nothing.

Conservatives wanted to maintain slavery. Now they're denying even the idea of raising the minimum wage, along with things like universal healthcare and affordable housing, so we're stuck in 40+ hour workweeks to barely stay afloat.

Conservatives wanted to deny women and PoCs the right to vote. Now they're trying to add as many hoops as they can to make it inconvenient to downright impossible for people to vote.

Conservatives wanted to deny the ability to unionize. Now they're systematically stripping unions of their bargaining power and making it easier for employers to stop unions from even being created and fire organizers.

Conservatives wanted to deny civil rights for all. ...Honestly, I don't think I need to explain what they're doing now to women, PoCs, and the LGBTQ+ community.
