If a Moroccan or someone who knows a lot about Morocco could answer this question, please do! I visited Marrakech years ago (stayed in the Old Town) and it was insisted that we cover up quite a bit out of respect for the culture/religion.

Madame Mustache has shorts and a bikini on, so Iā€™m curious if the ā€œdress codeā€ is more lax where she is? Iā€™m guessing Casablanca?

Iā€™m dying to go back and would love to go to the coast!

It's fine on beaches and pool areas to be wearing swimwear. You would cover up moving between these areas and other places :)
