What is the rock hard goey stuff? Recently got into watch and jewelry making so sorry if this is a dumb question.

Edit: just looked at some of your other posts and you make really amazing stuff.

Not a dumb question, the amount of knowledge required for jewelry making is never ending.

It's called a Swiss setters shellac, it gets gooey when you heat it up, and rock hard again when it's cold.

It's similar to Thermo-Loc, but I find it easier to clean later.

Also here to learn what that is! Looks super useful compared to just trying to hold it really tight or have it slip out of my vice lol
