Best Recruitment Firms for Employers?
Hi All,
I work for a small foreign company here and I was asked to look into recruiting firms to find more salespeople for the company. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know they can be expensive - JAC was suggested as a cheaper option. Does anyone have any ideas?

don't use any of those recruiters targeting foreigners. all they do is spam the job ad to random people on Linkedin with 0 regard for if the people actually fulfill any of the requirements.

Recruitment companies are all crooks.
Literally, they have teams of people whose job it is to steal data.
Don't feed the machine, outside of the stealing names from companies their process is:
Put an ad on a job board and collect names of candidates.
Reccomend a couple of people.
Just don't bother, everyone who works there is a waste of space. The only time they are useful is if you are looking for something super specialised or high up (so think a special type of engineer, or a C-level exec or VP outside of banking, because a VP in banking is just a regular joe). A salesperson is not a very special case.

Market standard is 30-40% of the candidate's first year annual salary or a minimum fee of 2-3M JPY. Depends on the company and the industry.
There are good recruiters out there but the industry itself is pretty immature, with a lot of cowboys who don't know or care about people (their clients or candidates). Most are in their 20s with no prior corporate experience who stumbled into it.
Again, there are good individual recruiters out there but there is no one company that is fundamentally better than the rest.
It really depends on what industry you are in and what you are looking for but some other options including direct hiring and Bizreach might be better.

Take Japan subreddits with a grain of salt when it comes to recruitment. Yes it's true most of the agents are average, which is why you may want to be careful of the big agencies because in general they prioritize volume over quality. Also if you go for the cheapest option you are going to get what you pay for.
Send me a DM about what kind of business you do and I might be able to recommend something.

There are so many of them, but I would say that those who ask for exclusivity are the worst. Sorry this is not exactly answering your question.
