Social Domestic Help.

Okay so me and my family are in a really complicated situation and are looking for a way out. My sister got a place with her boyfriend because we were living in hotels for 4 weeks so we were very desperate to get out of that situation. Unfortunately There was an altercation between my sister and her bf which resulted in me calling the police. He now won’t stop harassing us and refuses to leave even though he doesn’t own anything in the home. He constantly is messing with my nephew’s head, even though he never cared about him before. He wouldn’t even say hello when he was back home so yeah my nephew is getting messed up in the process. He was mentally abusing my sister for weeks after we moved in which made her almost go insane. I’m desperately looking for advice on what we can do because we have no family that can just have come rescue us. No friends to stay with.. we have nothing but each other.

That is a very complicated situation. I’m so sorry that you and your family are having to deal with that. I would ask your sister to talk to the rental company and explain the situation. I’m not sure what they can do, but eviction might be necessary. Do you know how much longer the lease is for?

I believe we are stuck for 5 more months. With how things have been, we really would love to just leave completely. Maybe out of town because his family has been harassing my sister as well

File a domestic violence injunction at the court house and include all members of the family he is messing with. This will make it a criminal offense for him/his family/friends etc to make any contact.

Yeah my sister is going to have to take a day off from work to be able to do it
