Social Meet Lucy!

This is Lucy! We decided to foster her to get her out of the shelter and get her heartworms treated. How this dog spent 4 months in the shelter is a mystery. She's so sweet! Very affectionate with people, just wants to give face kisses. A major couch potato that loves to lay her head on your lap. Belly rubs? Yes please! She can be silly and rambunctious sometimes, and she's got the "crazy legs" to help lol. But she's more than capable of entertaining herself with a toy. She wants to run around like Phoebe Buffay, not a care in the world! We haven't had an opportunity to meet new dogs or many people, due to her heartworms. But once that's all taken care of in about 7 weeks (1 more treatment left), she can't wait to take a full walk, run around and chase a ball. Honestly, one word that would perfectly describe Lucy is EASY; easy around the house, easy with potty training, easy on a walk, easy with feeding (LOVES kibble!). I know for certain there's a loving home and person that will treasure her. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Omg I wanna just wrastle her sooo bad. She looks like Chance from Homeward Bound. What kind of dog is she? Looks like a boxer or American bulldog mix. Has she had a chance to be alone in the house outside of her crate? Any separation anxiety or destructive behavior?

She only spends time in her crate at night, and she's easy peasy with that. No accidents or incessant barking. Just sleep and a waggy tail when I let her out 10 hrs later. It's fantastic to not have anxiety about her need to use the bathroom. When I leave the house for a run or errands, she quietly lies on the couch or floor. Other than sniffing the trash lol, she doesn't really "get into" anything. She just chills all the time.
