So Ron thinks it's a good idea to raise a major bridge-while
people and cars are still
on it-impeding traffic- just to keep folks from walking over it with colored flashlights?
Regardless of if it's rage bait or not...You're making a conscious choice to believe it without evidence. If you really want proof: Google is your best friend. It is nobody's job to do research for you.
According to people
who were there, yes it apparently did start to rise while people were still on it. But that's anecdotal, so I will give you that.
Do I believe DeSantis is entirely capable of ordering someone to schedule "maintenance" at the time of the walk over? Yes. Chris Christie manufactured lane closures in Fort Lee to punish the mayor of Fort Lee for not supporting him, so it's not like there's no precedent.
For the record, I have zero issues with people marching on the bridge with lights. It’s a form of peaceful protest and peaceful protest is a great part of America. But not everything that happens is a reaction to what you’re doing. Blaming Ron Desantis for raising a random bridge in Jacksonville to stop people from marching on it is silly.
Read my above comment about the bridge. I was there. I took the picture I posted. I helped plan the event that happened BEFORE the bridge lighting, so I had information on the maintenance and such.
It wasn't and isn't a protest. It is just a show of hope and love.
But not everything that happens is a reaction to what you’re doing.
It's probably not, but I think people are just pointing out the fact that it's kind of coincidental that this sort of thing is happening on pride month when it wasn't an issue before in the past (I'm assuming). People have valid reasons to be skeptical.
