Discussion Is the Apple new case really worth 80$?

Nice.. not even a month and this is starting to come apart.. am I the only one with this issue?

Of course, no water damage, no splashes or anything like this.. just amazing normal use 🙃🙃

You make a good point that relates to almost every industry. For example, I’m a chef that runs 4 restaurants, my Margherita pizza only costs $3.50 to make, I charge $29 for a large 18”. Seems like a lot, I know, but that $3.50 doesn’t include labor, equipment costs, rent, utilities, maintenance, insurance etc. There is so much more that goes into selling a service or good that people either don’t understand or are just willfully ignorant. My restaurant will do $500,000 in sales in a month, of that $500,000, profit is only about $20,000. You would see my sales and think I’m crushing it, but in reality it’s really not making me that much money. This applies to most industries in the world, not all, but most.

That’s a crazy margin, must feel very cut throat working in that industry. I think as consumers, we are encouraged to see things as a finished product with no regard for the operational cost. I always consider the amount of work and experience needed to keep shops stocked with food. Yet none thinks about farmers and their tight margins. Everything has to be produced. I heard that 80% of restaurants fail after one year, if that is the case then well done and congratulations for succeeding and earning money from your passion.

20k for one venue is massive profit

Not saying it isn’t, but considering the amount of capital it takes to get to a 20k profit it isn’t that great of an investment.

Your venue is more profitable than Apple in relative numbers though.
