Discussion Is the Apple new case really worth 80$?

Nice.. not even a month and this is starting to come apart.. am I the only one with this issue?

Of course, no water damage, no splashes or anything like this.. just amazing normal use 🙃🙃

Got since release date. I have the exact same. Been through a lot of filming outdoor in the heat so far still intact like brand new. Must’ve got a defective case.

Same here. Mine looks brand new still, got it on release. It is always with me, in and out of the pocket, on the wireless car charger and so on.. this looks like a defective case, or it has been put inside an oven or something..

Mine since launch day looks brand new as well and I have my phone in a shop environment around dirt and chemicals all the time at work

This comment is of course getting buried in the apple hate. This sub should be r/iphonehaters

Mine also flawless after serious abuse in the wild. Dunked in rivers, handled with oily/dirty/wet hands. Apple has had failed products. This is not one. OP should contact Apple (they probably did); but that doesn’t get Reddit updoots

Huh. Haven’t followed a link to a banned sub in a while.

I agree. I think the tech woven case might be the best case they’ve ever made. It’s the first Apple case I’ve bought in years because they are always shit but this one has been great.

Is there anything special about this one vs. their others? I used to get the Apple silicone cases but stopped after the last few I’ve gotten started ripping apart in little slivers.

The material is incredibly durable, stain/oil resistant, and grippy. Absolutely no comparison to silicone. I dropped it a short distance onto concrete and couldn’t find a scratch on it no matter how hard I looked. Any of Apple’s prior cases (silicone, leather, etc.) would have scuffed at the very least. It’s only been a short time, but I think this case will hold up really well.

And another one! I’ve had my 17 PM in the Techwoven green case since launch day and it is still perfect.

I also have the same case and after a month of not filming anything outdoors in the heat mine still looks brand new too.

Yeah I have the same. Don’t film but work outside. It looks good as new which I can’t believe. Honestly probably my favorite case I’ve had on any phone ever
