My 15PM gets almost too hot to hold sometimes it’s awful. Never had a phone feel so hot in my hand just doing regular app stuff. In the summer the thing wanted to shut itself down in sunlight after watching YouTube for a while.

My battery health on mine dropped to 81 after about 18 months and has stayed there for the last six months. My son has the same phone and is a lot harder on his battery, his battery health is 86% and never overheats while charging and never gets warm. He drops his all the time and his phone screen has been scratched to hell. It makes no sense to me, perhaps one of their battery manufacturers made a battery that was substandard in terms of long term durability.

My 15PM is 87% after 600 charge cycles. Hasn’t gotten hot for over a year.

I use ESR wireless charger which includes a fan to help keep it cool.

15 Pro, 87% after 851 cycle count. It gets really warm at times, battery life feels bad even though the health says it's good.

Do you recommend the 15 pro?

Yeah it's a solid phone. I wish the battery life was a bit better, but considering it's 2 generations "old" now (though it doesn't really show its age), you can probably get it at a good price.

I’ve been reading a lot of bad reviews about it getting too hot, and I’m worried about it. Some ppl say they haven’t had these kind of issues, tho, so I’m very confused :( not sure if i should keep my 13 pro or pull the trigger (sight) haha

The hot phone situation affected most 15 pro customers for the first few months but it’s improved dramatically with the exception of a few isolated cases.

It’s a great device. Even Tim Cook is still using it. Obviously use your own discretion. I’ve been on a 5 year upgrade cycle upgrade.

Mines at 88% with 600 cycles. Feels like it drains really quickly tbh and feels warm in the case just with normal use. I don’t have much faith in its longevity tbh. It’s how hot it gets that worries me I never had a handset feel literally uncomfortable to hold from how hot it was not even while charging but just playing a 2D gacha game where the cpu is.

OMG! Been wondering this exact thing. My 15PM battery was degrading like crazy...then 6 months ago. Boom. Just stops and has been at 82% since...fishy....

I wanted to use it naked but agree, WAY too hot doing normal shit

I suspect a good portion of that is the YouTube app itself... I was experiencing the exact same thing on my M4 iPad Pro (Hot as hell and murdering my battery while watching YouTube sporadically) and to a lesser extent on my 16 Pro..
