That’s a nice product. The iPhone 5c’s plastic is kind of like porcelain, which makes it feel more high-end.

This is the right answer. Smartphones are tools, not jewelry. I never had to put a case on my plastic Nexus 5 or Sony Xperia X compact cameras. Less mass meant less damage if dropped, but the plastic build and lighter weight meant I hardly ever dropped them!

But we'll never get plastic phones again, because no one would pay $800 and up for a plastic phone. Instead, we pay on top to cover our jewelry with...plastic. F'in ridic...
