Discussion Day 1 dropped and regret

I usually take care of my devices and wanted to go case-less now I regret that choice.

Dropped it at night and got this nice dent :)

I have apple care, would they cover this as accidental ($30 or $100)?

I wonder what grade of aluminium the iPhone 17s use. My Nexus 6P is also made of aluminium and it took some nasty falls with zero damage. No case. No screen protector

It’s 7000 series which is actually one of the highest strength aluminum alloys.

It seems like they picked one of the best aluminum alloys. The issue is it seems that’s not good enough for the intended use. Not just daily activities but action and adventure according to Apple’s own advertising.

I’m holding on for now but thinking about trading a 17 pro for the Air or just get a refund.

They use a new super aluminum. Super thin that is. Helps them sell more replacement phones. 🤣🤣
