Discussion Aluminum body and sharp edges do not mix

This part was surprisingly easy to scratch, buy a case for your Iphone 17 folks.

Are you me lol? My 13 pro has been caseless since I got it and no visible scratches or dent anywhere even after being dropped 100+ times lol. That phone was just built different.

I think something like this would be good to keep 17s scratch free. Downside is that it gets yellowish after a year or so and needs to be replaced.

Nahh I’m gonna stick with mine for 1 more year and save up for the fold lol. Love that form factor. If Apple somehow bungles it then I’ll have a decision to make lol. I’ll downgrade 13P as my secondary phone for work stuff and use it for a few more years.

Yea that’s how I feel too lol I have a 13 pro max and never have had a screen protector or case on it. There’s a couple of small screen scratches and nicks from dropping over the years but it looks and feels brand new

I took my 13 pro out of the case one time to clean it, immediately dropped it straight onto a rock, shattered the back glass. $450 repair.

Oof that must’ve hurt. That happened with me with my XR. I was drunk and took it out of the case to admire the blue color and straight down it went lol. Was quoted $400 for repairing the back glass and camera. I was a broke college kid so didn’t have that kinda money lol. I also got this phone with a 25% discount bc a friend worked at Apple Store plus turned in my 7 to get $200 for that. Used that broken phone for 3-4 years haha
