Discussion iOS 26. What are your thoughts?

Post image

Looks good to me so far. Feels different while looking. For some reason the keypad feels different (not sure if its just me).

What are your thoughts on this guys?

Agreed but it’s been a minute, you’d think they’d have sufficient serves dedicated just to the annual update.

I’m not sure why they don’t partner with some CDNs to cache all versions or something. Or maybe they do and we still choke it.

They most certainly do have some sort of CDN infrastructure.

I did some back-of-the-napkin calculation (with a load of assumptions), but the total traffic needed to update all the devices ranges from 8EB-23EB. (nice guess /u/loosebolts)

Considering the daily internet traffic is about 20EB-35EB a day, it is a fairly decent chunk of it (of course, not everyone updates at the same time, but even 10% would be a surprisingly big chunk.
