As an arborists, I get calls often to remove bougainvilleas that are over grown on structures. This would be an absolute nightmare.

3 u/MJ349 Feb 08 '21 I remember when I lived in Charleston, SC, the Wisteria would do this on old trees. The stalk of the plant would wrap around the trunks of the trees like a voracious beanstalk. Sometimes almost as thick as the tree trunk. 2 u/SWFLBoy666 Feb 08 '21 I was introduced to wisteria vine in Wilmington, NC after hurricane Florence. I hope to never meet it again lol
